The World's First Starting Strength Gym

This past October, we announced our goal of opening 100 Starting Strength Gyms in the next five years. More important than the speed of expansion is our goal: to be the only national gym franchise that actually makes people strong. Today, we are excited to announce the grand opening of the first one: Starting Strength Austin.

Coming in March 2019, Starting Strength fans in Austin will be able to show up and get strong according to the proven Starting Strength method. Members will receive exclusive access to train under Joyce Luke’s world-class coaching team in small group training sessions, three-times a week. Membership includes access to a Starting Strength Gym with all equipment designed and approved by me, professional coaching under an SSC, individualized programming, nutrition/recovery guidance, and access to our exclusive digital logbook app.

If you live in the Austin area, the sign up link is austin.startingstrengthgyms.com. Memberships are limited - there are only six spaces available per timeslot, with a total of 96 memberships available in the gym. Once memberships are sold out, trainees are welcome to join the waiting list to receive an email if or when a membership becomes available.

More gyms are coming soon. Jay Livsey has signed on to open two gyms in Denver, and is in the process of selecting the location for Gym #1. We expect to have at least eight gyms open by this time next year, all across the country.
