Magnesium
Hi coach,
I am not a milk basher, I do enjoy it alot in large quantities, however I have come across a problem I have not found on here... Excess calcium leading to magnesium deficiency. I have suffered this problem myself, and the symptoms of mg deficiency are alleviated when I stop drinking milk and start taking mg supp.
Apparently magnesium in peoples diets are already really LOW. High dairy intake, alcohol and coffee all deplete the bodies stores... most people get muscle twiches, depression, anxiety (very long list)...
My question is have you come across this before ? and could it effect strength gains?
there are references on this website to studies done..

Thanks,
Tommo.

I have taken mineral supplements for 25 years so that such things would not distract my attention from training.
