An elevated HR is normal after a heavy volume day. It is part of the recovery process, and the way the body perfuses the fatigued tissue. You'll be fine.
Will try not to BS too much,
Lately volume days are becoming heavier (5X5X375) and longer, hence why I am doing a split routine.
The last couple of weeks I've noticed that my heart rate won't drop to the 60-90 area even 2-3 few hours after a stertorous squat session(usually 100-120, even with minimal physical effort)
I am used to the aftermath of V-day for 60-90 minutes but it has doubled in the last 2 months(made some good progress)
Is there any concern here? do I need to start some specific conditioning?
BW: 241, 6'1, 25 young
P.S
I am usually taking 200-300mg of caffeine before some workouts(usually once a week or twice out of 4 total workouts)- symptoms are true without the caffeine as well

Ok, so no worries here, keeping on
