question about supplements.
Ok so i keep hearing about supps a lot and most people recommend taking
creatine, bcaa's, whey, fish oil, multivitamins, caesin etc.
My question is, which supplements are just not needed, and which ones improve performance during workouts, also which ones are actually needed for recovery etc.
I know the function of the supps listed above. I just wanted user feedback about what you guys use.

You don't need any supplements. Creatine is good, whey and casein are food and they help if for some reason you are not meeting your protein requirements. If you feel sleepy or tired during workouts try some pre-workout stimulants and simple carbs.
I personally use creatine and some whey every now and then.

None are actually needed.
I use creatine and Jack3d for strength and endurance.
I like protein powder a lot.
I take mega doses of BCAAs and they do seem to help me recover. Less soreness, better resiliency.
And the constant, multivitamins.

do you guys use the creatine everyday, or only on workout days?
-
Every day. I use micronized creatine though. It's easier on the system, no bloating and ridiculous water retention.
Either Con-Cret or AST micronized.

I'm no pro, but I'm pretty sure Creatine doesn't work unless you use it every day.
I have some whey, but only because it's a bitch to get enough calories when I'm at school from 0800-2200 some days. Last time I bulked I didn't use anything, it went well.

Well I can tell you one supplement you don't need is whey protein because you can get protein from food. Don't waste your money on that.
The best sport supplements are free form amino acids like BCAA's. I use it all the time and I swear by it. I also take GABA and Lysine.
Creatine is also very, very effective.

how often do you take creatine Carn?
-
Creatine is supposed to be taken daily.
-
I take 2.5 - 5 grams a day.
