Default Squat, too high, other issues?

Hey Mark, I finally was at a gym where I could get decent video and am embarrassed that my squat is much higher than I realized. (not as bad as the now trendy Olympic quarter squat but not good) I'm rereading the squat chapter and am gonna reset but wanted to ask if you see any other issues I need to work on. Thanks.

Yeah, this is 5 inches high at times. Take some weight off, knees out, look down, drive your ass up.

"The lamb lies down on broadway" playing in the background is responsible for the high squats. Nazareth's" Hair of the dog" will produce a squat at proper depth.

    Dang.

Went to the gym this evening and evidently my perception of depth is effed. Dropped the weight down and really thought I was going ATG but it's barely legal. Lots more work to work on.

Hate to tell you, but these might still be an inch high.

    ARGH.

But thank you, thank you, thank you for the critique, it really helps to have a critical eye, all the bros in the gym tell me my squats rock. Go figure.

They are referring to your butt. Which rocks, btw.

It looks like the bar path might drift forward on the way down.

Yep, especially on #1, 4, & 5. That will be an artifact of the half-squat pattern. Look on page 58, The Master Cue section.

You'll know that you're squatting properly when the bros come over to correct your form because you're squatting too deep.
