We run our PT test in basically what amounts to underwear. If I get shot, I don't need you to strip down to your underwear and run two miles. I need you to grab my 250+ lb (after gear) carcass and drag it or carry it 50-100 yards to hard cover, and then keep fighting.
To do this, your squat and deadlift max can't be 250; it has to be considerably higher so that dragging my heavy carcass is a submaximal event.
