    Default knee sleeve recommendations

My basement gym is too cold and I have to do far too much warmup just to feel normal. I'd like to invest in a pair of knee sleeves and some elbow sleeves if they are cheap enough. Im looking on the Rogue Fitness site and i see TK's and Rehbands. From what i've read most people seem to prefer the Rehbands and say they last longer. Im just afraid they give too much support and may inflate my lifts a bit. Any recommendations on knee or elbow sleeves?

Rehbands. Just don't get competition fit and you'll be okay.

I've been eyeing Rehbands, too. May ask for them for my upcoming birthday.

My knees are right at 40cm at the patella. Rehband size chart goes:

    L: 36-39
    XL: 39-42

Should I squeeze into a large or go with the more properly sized XL? I've never worn sleeves of any type.....

I second the rehbands. You won't inflate your lifts at all. At most you might get 5-10lbs out of them if that.

Get the blue Rehbands, not the new gray ones. I hear the gray are inferior somehow, but I don't have personal experience with them. I do have a pair of blue Rehbands and they are an absolute necessity if you're working out in the cold. My rack is in a barn and sometimes I don't get the woodstove going in time to warm the place up. The lowest temperature I have worked out in is 36 degrees Fahrenheit and it is impossible to be warmed up for heavy squats at this temperature. Rehbands will have your knees sweating no matter what temperature it is.

And unless you have elephant knees or little chicken knees, you probably belong in a pair of mediums.

Get the large. My knees measure 40.5 and the large fit great.

The blue ones are 7mm thick, the grey ones are only 5mm.
