Bench Press Grip
Hi
I’ve been lifting for 25 years and have been doing SS method for 1.5 years. For some reason I cant seem to get the bar to sit comfortable in my hands during bench press. I grab the bar with an open hand and place the bar in between my thumb and index finger and then close my hand. I squeeze the bar and then slightly rotate my wrist into what would be a thumb down position and the bar tends to run between the thenar and hypothenar eminences where the median nerve runs. Maybe I’m rotating too much. I grab the bar in a similar fashion as the press but it doesn’t seem to feel right any more. Any suggestions on how to properly set the bar in the palm. I’m overthinking this now.

Yes sir I have. I hold the bar low in my palm then wrap my fingers around. I feel like I have to adjust my grip several times to get it to feel correct in my palm
