Oblique trouble with the press
Hi SSC’s
I’ve recently been having trouble with oblique strains during the sticking point on the press. I’m handling the weight easy enough (only 60kg) but I’m doing so without any layback. I’ve tried implementing a small layback over the last month but as soon as I approach working weight I feel a strain in my lower oblique (has been on both sides just above the iliac crest). I’ve tried 2x resets to 90% and all that happened was I strained the other side. I’m thinking it could be because I’m too loose though the abs but it doesn’t feel like that. Any ideas would be great.

Yes (4 inch). I’ve tired wearing high, medium and low. I’ve found low the most useful
