Bands and pullups
Coach,
I am going to do The Wichita Falls Novice Program. The thing is that I am very weak. I can't even do one pullup. I have bought some bands and I was wondering if it is appropriate to use them on your program until I get strong enough to do this exercise without them. My concern is that when you use bands it takes away the core stability out of the movement.

You don't have any core stability to worry about right now, so just do them with the bands as best you can. Everything will get stronger, including your chinups.
