    Default Wrong Squats??

I have started strength training recently and recorded few videos to check my form. I know there are so many things that may be wrong in the video but I don't know where to begin. Knees, I believe, are fine and I am trying to arch my back as much as I can. May be the hip drive is not working correctly. Please help.

You're not getting depth. You're also doing what's called the leg press with a bar. Initiate the movement from the hips, sit back, keep your weight on your heels (try the wiggle toes cue and start doing squat stretches daily), and push your knees out. Also, get some sawhorses or something so you can dump the bar if you need to. You'll need these later as the weight goes up.

Keep up the good work and keep at it. Make sure you have SS, read it, and work on one aspect of your form each session. Sometimes its tricky to keep it all in your head when your starting out, so just focussing on one thing helps.

I agree with everything tmatt said. A terribly useful piece of wood might be a good way to check your knee position.

That is a cool room in the video. It looks like the inside of the space station.

To help with hip drive, if you can like ripp has said, without a bar just squat down past parallel, and then push back up with someone pushing down on your hips/ass while you are doing this. You will then feel how it is like to use hip drive.

    Thanks Guys!

I have been looking into stretching my butt more. I think I have lost the hip mobility because of sedentary lifestyle. Will post another video after the form improves.

Your knees look to be pointed out too much. They look almost 50 degrees. Try 35 degrees out (assuming forward is 0 degrees).
