This is part form check part video production help. What should I use to edit my movies in Win7? Most notably from the one I'm about to post, how do I correct the orientation so that I'm not squatting off of the walls?

This is part of a set of 380x8 that I thought was going to kill me. Tips on where to film from for better idea of what I'm doing are also welcome as I'm brand spanking new at this. I'd have posted the whole set, but my brand new camera doesn't have a card. I've ordered one and it should be here next week, so look forward to better posting then.

Why don't you rotate the camera when you film so it films vertically? As for software, check out Sony Vegas.

    +1 just rotate camera.

If you manage to rotate video it will have black bars on either side anyway.

    Squat form looks solid.

Ive used those racks before and they are a right pain (the hook bits).

    Default use Windows Movie maker

You can use Windows Movie maker for that.

    Free download here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...&stype=s_basic

Drag your video into the storyboard, and then right click over it, choose the video effects menu and then choose rotate 90 degrees.

    Good luck,

    Strong set bro!

Though it does look to me like your knees are dropping forward at the bottom, as you're relaxing your hammies to gain extra depth.

The reason I'm filming that way is because I'm pretty tall, and do not fit in the picture the other way.

    I see the same thing.

I use Windows Live Movie Maker (new name for the Windows Movie Maker in Win7) or VirtualDub (excellent Freeware).

BTW, first time I see the exact same type of power rack that I use.

My camera saves .mp4 files which movie maker does not support. Suggestions?

    Download a codec pack.

Or just put the camera the right way but further back.
