    • starting strength seminar april 2024
    • starting strength seminar jume 2024
    • starting strength seminar august 2024
    its basically still SS though a variation of deadlifting,cleaning and chins.

    WorkoutA

    Squat 3x5
    Bench 3x5

    Workout B

    Squat 3x5
    press 3x5

    although my variation is that cleans are fixed on mondays, chins are fixed on wednesdays, and deads are fixed on fridays. A and B alternate every other day M-W-F.

    it looks ok to me if pulling from the floor 3x a week is too much.

    It looks like the advanced novice routine in PPST2.

    from the other side of the world so cannot order PP2. deadlifts are taxing w/ trex arms so i put them at the end of the week, chins at the middle rest me from cleaning on monday. do you guys think this is better than the pullup-dead/clean-chin per week version?

    I do that exact routine, and it works okay for me. The main reason is so I can put deadlifts on Friday, thus having an extra day to recover..

    @tescott i'm planning on 10lb jumps on the dead coz of the extra recovery time, did you do the same?

    starting strength coach development program
    I'm doing a similar routine, although I do Deadlifts on Monday, Chins Wednesday, Cleans Friday.

    I thought it would be better to do deadlifts on two days rest, but I see your points on having to days to recover.

    Monday- 3x5 Squats, 3x5 Bench/Press, 1x5 deadlift
    Wednesday - 3x5 Squats, 3x5 Press/Bench, 3x Chins to Fail
    Friday- 3x5 Squats, 3x5 Bench/Press, 5x3 Power Cleans
