Is this normal for someone doing SS? Or possibly a product of poor deadlift/squat form. I went to the doctors today who pointed out that my glute muscles were disproportionately large for the rest of my body.

Is something I'll grow into the more I grow and progress - or something I'll lose when I cut?

Pretty silly.. if you did nothing but work biceps, I doubt the doctor would remark on your oversized arms. Squat ass should be a source of pride. For novices, it seems to be the one of the first muscles to get big. Nothing wrong with it.

Did the doctor have some medical concern over the size of your gluteus maximus or was he just waxing aesthetically? Yes it's normal that this is going to grow with heavy squatting. With respect to form, it more likely means you're doing something right than wrong.
