I'm starting Texas Method and need an idea of what I should do for 5 sets of 5.

If you just finished up linear progression, take your last 3x5 weight and remove 15 to 20 lbs. For example, if you squatted 275 for your last 3x5 session, start your 5x5 with 255 or 260.

Thanks very much, should I be conservative on friday or should I try and add 15-20lbs to what I was doing for 3 sets of 5?

Yeah, add maybe 20# to your 3x5 on Friday, see how that goes. Maybe 15# if your 3x5 wasn't very big.

my monday is currently 35lbs less than my friday 5rm. It has been at 30 and 25, but Ive done a few light mondays when I was short on time, to no ill effect of my friday 5rm.

It's not an exact science. This is where it gets fun

Just to put in my $0.02 from experience.

Remember that Monday (Volume Day) is a stimululs for Friday (Intensity Day).

As another poster said, if you can go a little lighter on Monday and keep pushing heavy weight on Friday, than better for you!
