Alternating Heavy-Medium-Light exercises on Starr Model
Alternating Heavy-Medium-Light exercises on Starr Model
Hi guys, I am interested in your opinions on alternating the heavy-medium-light exercises throughout the week in a way noted below. Bear in mind I am using Starr's ramping and Heavy-light-medium loading as noted in his book "Strongest Shall Survive." I should mention that I am finding it difficult to go heavy on three exercises on the same day (squat, bench, and deadlift) with the squats and deadlift at 425 and 465 for 5 respectively. I am finding that the squats tank my benching and deadlift ability a lot.
Mon: Squat-heavy, Bench-light (or press), Back-medium (heavy high pulls)
Supplemental exercises: abs
Wed: Squat-light, Bench-medium, Back-heavy (deadlift)
Supplemental exercises: abs
Friday: Squat-medium, Bench-heavy, back-light (powercleans)
Supplemental exercises: high rep dumbbell rows/chins

Try it out, if it works then cool and if it doesn't, you'll know in a month or so and you can change it up.
