    Hey Coach,

I have a client, lady, 34, good shape but has 1 fused wrist due to a injury about 12 years ago.....she is now ready for strength training (outside of big gym SB) is there any way to teach or a substitute movment for the Power Clean????when the wrist mobility is basically not there.

    thanks,

    Nathan

She has no reason to clean under these circumstances. Just have her deadlift.

She could power snatch, right? I assume she is otherwise in good orthopedic condition.

My, rather unlucky, wife apart from the rotator-cuff deal also had her wrist immobilized with surgery a few years back, so this is interesting to me as well. We cant deadlift All The Time (only squat), so apart from chins might hi-pulls and/or (dare I say it) BB rows be useful?

Believe it or not, the snatch actually requires wrist mobility.

E-ghad! You're right! Get her behind a prowler and doing box squats with chains AND bands!
