Mark,
I'm three weeks into the Texas Method and I'm really enjoying it. I have a question regarding the HI/LV day, I guess typically the Friday workout. I'm sure its been asked before and I just missed it, but believe me when I tell you I've searched around and combed through the books. Right now I am using some programming straight out of PP which has 5RMs on that day. In all the reading and searching I've done is says on that day to either do 1 set of 5RM, or 1RM, 2RM or 3RM, but it never says how many sets if you choose to do the 1, 2, or 3. Can you do multiples sets at that intensity and it still stay in the low volume range? If so, how many? I would appreciate any suggestions, advice, or simply where to find the answer. If its in the books, I apologize I just missed it. If you could tell me what chapter that would be great. I have SS and PP. Thanks a lot.
Brian

Is this sets across a new approach? I'm asking it because in the book, you reccomend testing for a 1, 2 or 3RM, and in the T-Nation article you recommend 5RM.
What is the reason for using sets across on the Intensity day, if it's purpose is reinforcing neuromuscular efficiency, and in theory the volume day should drive the adaptation?
Thanks in advance!
Thank you very much.
What kind of loading, relative to my 5RM should I start with if I wanted to change up the rep range on intensity day.
WTF is a wormup? Rip, you have been holding out on us! Do I eat said worms or just let them sit in my mouth? Or is this the secret to GOMAD without gaining fat? Please explain.
Is there a certain percentage of your 1 or 2 RM that you use when doing that 1 or 2 RM for 5 sets across?
One set of 5 where? Page number? And 1RM, 2RM, or 3RM on intensity day with a programmed increase from the previous week is hardly RM "testing".
Do you not understand that this is not derived from a percentage? It is a progression from previous workouts in small increments.
