So I should explain where the pain originated from. I was hit by a car on my motorcycle and dragged underneath of it. My patella was worn almost away and my neck/back has been pretty messed up b/c of it. It was re-aggravated when I was rear ended into a tree in my car about 8 years later. So now on to today. The pain in my neck is back, when I am doing heavy back squats. It happens occasionally and when that happens I use the bitch pad and am able to work out pain free, until it passes. I was wondering if you see a problem with using the pad until it passes or are there problems that I am unaware of? Should I just say F it and not use the pad? The pain, if I can describe it accurately is like someone slicing into the bones and nerves of my neck with a dull serrated blade. Thanks in advance.

You may have a cyst or other lesion from the bike wreck, that the bar is mashing. Do what you need to do to train.
