Accommodating Resistance
Rip, I'm wondering if you have an opinion about accommodating resistance techniques such as those used by the folks at Westside, i.e. chains and bands. There's no mention of it in PPST, though you do espouse the notion of using dynamic effort.
I gather that the primary benefit of using accommodating resistance is to increase the strength at the top of the lift, which I believe is likely most beneficial for geared power lifters. There seems to be a secondary benefit that I'm interested in, to keep the bar under control at the top of speed sets. I'm wondering if that's even necessary.

Bands and chains are primarily useful for suit-and-wraps lifters. Since I don't really train them, I don't profess to have an opinion of value on them.
