So I might need to start microloading the presses soon, they're almost stalling at a 5lb weekly increase.

My gym doesn't have plates smaller than 1.25kg, so where do you guys shop for plates to bring with you? Or what other ideas do you have to help you microload?

Alternatively, how would I know if I actually should microload, or maybe just drop the rep/set scheme. Presses and bench are both 5x5 for now on TTM.

    Search function.

But trying craigslist or a major sporting store should do the trick. They're worth the dough.

Dude, you don't have to buy the plates. You can make them. Just use some old, scrathed CD-ROMs, cut some holes, and glue them. Everybody has some scrathed CDs in the house. If you don't go ask a friend or go to a computer store and ask where they trow the garbage. You can also glue some small washer between two cds and make a layer. That will save you some time.

It is absolutely appalling that this hasn't been discussed on here before...

This is, like, the third most common topic on the board.

Short synopsis: find something you can put on the bar on both sides with a known and equal weight that comes out to about what you need. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon. Short loops of chain, big washers, baseball bat weights (if in America), etc. Those solutions will cost you less than $10.

4 collars = 2.5 lb for the most part. Pick up 4 collars in one hand and pick up a 2.5lb plate in the other to make sure.

Yeah, just imagine if this site had like, you know, a search function?

I think a forum of "Answers to questions everyone asks" would be nice.
