    Default starr rehab question

    Hey
I have had a hip injury (gluteus medius/minimus) some months ago , it's not a tear because there was no blood. I have rested it and foam rolled it and stretched it during the last week while using NSAIDS. Now i don't feel any pain. Should I do the starr rehab before getting back to my working weight ? Does it only work for tears or for all muscle strains ?
Funny thing , yesterday I did some unweighted squats to see if the pain on my left hip was gone , and I strained the right hip (probably gluteus maximus , it hurts when I squeeze my ass) ...
Anyway can the starr rehab possibly be of any help for either side ?

It clearly says that it's only for muscle belly tears.

it says it's for muscle belly injuries , not tears.

Here is the tried-and-true injury rehab method for muscle-belly injuries we got from Starr and that has worked for years better than any other method I've ever used. It also works well on orthopedic injuries in general, and should be tried before anything more elaborate is used.

Same difference, as far as I know.

The Starr rehab should be started a few days after the injury, once the pain allows to work through the full range of motion of the chosen exercise (in this case, the squat).
