    Rip,

I have just been given the all clear to resume training after a nasty bout of pneumonia which put me in hospital. I was previously on intermediate programming using 5/3/1, but have gone from 240lbs bodyweight down to 215.

My plan is to go back to novice linear progression to get my strength and bodyweight back up. Is this what you would reccomend?

    Many thanks for your help.

Yep, figure out what weight slows your bar speed and start there. You will probably progress a little faster than you did the first time.

You'll be back to your old self in a couple of months.
    Good luck.

I have never found myself in such a situation but based purely on theoretical considerations I would do as ColoWayno said.
