Hello,
My question is in regards to a friend of mine who has been going to the gym for much longer than I. I just started a few months with the program, but I was instructed that proper form was paramount. So, I decide to join my friend in the gym one day and noticed that his squat form is terrible. He is squatting deeply, but as he goes down his heels raise and simultaneously rotate inwards (and at this point all his weight in on his toes).
I've tried to help fix his form, but he is unable to both squat deeply and properly - he feels too much (back) pain, he says. Is there a way to help him fix his form?
Thanks

I can't see how his heels raising have anything to do with his back pain. If he's having back pain, he isn't squatting properly.
