Programming Question
Quick background:
24 years old
5' 10'' 205 lbs
Tiny legs, long torso
Recent PRs
Squat 400 lbs
Deadlift (sumo) 445 lbs
Press 195 lbs
Bench 285 lbs
Power clean 255, Clean 275
Began TM two weeks ago with the following setup:
Mon 5x5 on squat and a press variation
3 x 15 chins or pullups (will start weighting them soon)
Tues Power Cleans (using 7 sets of 2 reps after hitting a wall with 3 rep sets)
WedFront squat 3x3 and recovery press
Thurs rest
Fri 5 reps maxes of Squat and Press variation, 3 rep max on deadlift
During my novice progression I usually cleaned from the hang (better at it due to the fact that during my time playing football in college our S&C coach had us do everything from the hang) and pulled sumo as it felt more natural.
Going back to conventional deads and pulling cleans from the ground, do you think the power cleans will help push my deads up, or should I look into switching to RDLs for awhile? After writing this feel like the answer is, see if they do, and if they dont, switch, but I guess I will let the question stand to see what you think.

You can warm your deadlifts up with cleans, then do RDLs where you would do Cleans.
