Default Tbone's log of glitter and awesomeness

So, I have decided to start cutting and pasting my training log here. I will add additional info as needed. If you want to read my log from the beginning, it is here: http://board.crossfit.com/showthread.php?t=48188. That has everything from June 2009 until the present.

As background, I am 35 years old, and I'm a competitive masters weightlifter. I started off CrossFitting in June of 2009, did that for a year, fucked up my shoulder, and then switched to some strength programming out of necessity while I rehabbed my shoulder. I originally intended to go back to CrossFit, and then I pulled my head out of my ass and decided to switch to weightlifting. I've been training as a masters weightlifter for 10 months. Oh, and I am a GIRL, not a really fucking weak guy. Two kids, ages 6.5 and 4.5.

In that time period, I also went from 174 lbs down to 132 lbs. I'm 5'8, and I looked like a meth addict at 132 lbs. Once I started strength training, I started gaining. I started off weightlifting in the 69 kg and then moved up to 75 kg after Masters Nationals. I'm currently hanging out around 160 lbs, which is in the middle of the 75 kg weight class.

    Current lifts are:
    Deadlift: 275 lbs
    Squat: 220 lbs
    Front squat: 170 lbs
    Press: 102 lbs
    Power clean: 158 lbs
Behind the neck jerk: 180 lbs
    Snatch: 116.6 lbs (53 kg)
Clean and jerk: 153 lbs (69.5 kg)

My best meet total is 118 kg - 52 snatch and 66 C&J.

I haven't benched since last year, but my last bench set was 3 x 5 x 117.5 lbs. Also, my 220 lb squat is from last year. I switched to high bar for a while and have just recently switched back to low bar.

I train in both kilos and pounds, so you'll just have to deal with it. I always note whether something is in kilos or pounds, so learn how to multiply by 2.2 if I say kilos and you're an American who doesn't get kilos.

I've recently switched programming, and it is all heavy singles to a daily max.

My next meet is Masters Pan Ams on July 9-10.

    Snatch:
    1 x 25 kg
    1 x 30 kg
    1 x 35 kg
    1 x 40 kg
    1 x 42 kg - Super solid. Very happy.
    1 x 45 kg - Didn't like my receiving position
    1 x 45 kg - Much better
    1 x 47 kg - Miss
    1 x 47 kg - Miss

Kill me now. I hate snatching. I would rather drink bleach than ever snatch again.

    Clean and jerk:
    1 x 45 kg
    1 x 50 kg
    1 x 54 kg
    1 x 57 kg
    1 x 60 kg
    1 x 63 kg
    1 x 66 kg
1 x 68 kg - Got stuck in the hole for 3 seconds and somehow bounced that shit out of there. No idea how I did it. I have never gotten totally stuck in the hole on a clean and been able to get out. Of course, then my legs were dead, and I missed the jerk.

    Press:
    5 x 45 lbs
    1 x 65 lbs
    1 x 75 lbs
    1 x 85 lbs
    1 x 90 lbs
    1 x 95 lbs
1 x 100 lbs - Holy crap, that was easy. Penn said, "I think you might have that for 5." Haha.
    1 x 102 lbs - PR
    1 x 104 lbs - Miss

Yet another press PR. I am awesome.

    I still hate snatching.

Oh, snap. Let me not forget that I did 3 sets of double unders when I was done: 29, 29, 50. My timing is way off because I haven't done DUs in a few months.

Ugh, now my log isn't going to generate the most views anymore. Dick.

    Cry me a river.

You can have the most views. I'll even comment on your log every day if it helps.

You're actually strong, so people should read your log for that reason.

I suppose that I should have noted above that I am not that strong, I am ridiculously slow on my snatch, I am generally slow at all lifts that require me to move quickly, and my mobility sucks ass. This is obviously a highly successful recipe for someone who wants to be a weightlifter.

I will point out that this is not an exaggeration.

Sigh. Well, when I manage to be fast, I know it. The whole world knows it.

I am actually not trying to be a horrible bitch by saying that. Every once in a while, someone here doesn't realize that I'm a girl. Also, you've only been lifting for a short period of time. I expect that you will quickly blow past all of my numbers because you are a guy, you weigh more than I do, and you are apparently generally healthy. If I am still outlifting you in a year, then I will give you shit.

I'm not offended, of course. You're stronger than most guys I know.

    'Twas merely a joke.

If I call someone a name as juvenile as "Dick"-especially a girl-I'm almost definitely kidding.

It's about time you got a log here. Now I have to start with the Olympic lifts. My manhood is at stake.
