Squat Check Please
Mr. Rippetoe-
Thanks for all the time you put into this forum. I've been following it for a while now. I have two videos, my 2nd and 3rd sets at 265. I'm 25, 6' tall, and 200 lbs (up from 155). I shot these from the side because I am primarily concerned about my shift in back angle on the ascent. I saw a review of another guy's squat that was similar to mine, and you told him he was trying to stay too vertical, losing it, and then lifting the chest to recover. Is this what I am doing? My main question is, is the shift in back angle enough that you would tell me to reset, or just keep going and focus on it?

From this view you can clearly see the bar path. What do you see that might be wrong?
-
looks like he's coming on his toes in the pocket to me...

What I noticed first was that he's keeping his knees religiously far back. Seemed like too much. Overcompensating. And then you ask about the bar path and at the bottom the bar loops forward. Maybe give the knees another inch forward to work with? Or am I way off the mark.

Bar Path
I see that the bar starts to move forward about halfway down, and then especially goes forward at the bottom. This makes me have to lean over and then raise the chest to pull the bar back over the mid foot. So do I try to keep my back more vertical, or do I reach back with the hips more to keep the bar back? I would suspect the former, and that my knees have to be more forward as a result.

Were I standing there, I'd tell you to keep the chest up coming out of the bottom. Loudly.

Thanks. I'll tell my training partner to yell at me more.

Mark-
Do you agree that I'm keeping my knees too far back, or is it just that I need to keep my chest up more?

I can't tell from one view. It may be that your femurs are short relative to your tibias. So try letting them shift a little more forward and see if that takes the problems out of the back angle.
