    Hi,

    My name is Mark and have been a lurker on these boards for a few months. I decided that is was time to get familiar with other forum users and start a log. I technically started SS back on August 1st after dicking around with useless shit in the gym for 4-5 months.

    A little backround info, I used to be a skinny kid all through my youth and continued to be skinny untill I got an office job 5+ years ago at the age of 22. I was around 125 lbs when I started and pretty lean (not sure of BF% because I never cared). After 5 years of pretty much going to work and coming home and being useless I gained about 40 lbs of fatness. After being the typical gym noob, I was around 150 lbs and between 14%-16% BF before starting SS.

    My sessions are setup like:

    Workout A
    Squat 3x5
    Bench Press 3x5
    Deadlift 1x5
    Dips 3x6

    Workout B
    Squat 3x5
    Press 3x5
    Chin-Ups 5x3

    I know I'm not doing PCs but I feel that I am still doing the program for the most part.

    Start Date: August 1, 2011

    My height is 5'8"

    Starting Weight --->150 lbs
    Current --->163 lbs

    Starting BF% --->15%
    Current --->16%

    Starting Squat ---> 115 lbs
    Current --->185 lbs

    Starting Bench Press ---> 85 lbs
    Current --->115 lbs

    Starting Deadlift --->135 lbs
    Current ---> 235 lbs

    Starting Press ---> 70 lbs
    Current ---> 85 lbs

    Overall all things have gone well, I have a few form issues that I know of, mostly with the Deadlift and Squat. I hopefully will hammer these out as I progress and will try to post form checks this weekend.

    4-5 months of useless time at the gym, iIf a lot less than plenty of us; good for you. But if you are not doing PCs then you are not doing the program.

    Dips 5,3,4

    A decent session except for the Deadlift. I missed 2 reps mostly because of distractions from the PT and a client. They were doing some exercise where he puts a band around her waste and makes her run around the gym. Fucking annoying. I will be attempting 245 lbs next Deadlift session.

    Missed reps on the squat, most likely due to not enough rest. Going to attempt 195 again on Wednesday.

    I haven't been keeping this updated but will from here on. Basically had back to back bad sessions so I deloaded and continued on. I actually am doing the program now and will get form checks for squats and cleans hopefully this weekend. My Deadlift form seemed ok according to the responses on the technique forum. Ok, time to get caught up.

    Chins 4,4,3

    Completed my 8th week today. Overall I am pleased an motivated to keep going. I had one deload, mostly due to lack of sleep. This program is hard with an infant in the household. I also am glad I started to do cleans. Wish I would have started sooner. Form checks for the squat and clean coming this weekend on the technique forum.
