I've been weight training for about a year now. Started with P90X masturbation and then CrossFit, which finally lead me to SS (the crowd goes wild). I started LP but washed out after a couple months due to lack of desire to eat enough and a general deterioration of my being able to move my joints. Currently working Texas Method which is going well. Slow and steady is fine with me. Talked my wife into strength training as well and we workout 4 times a week in our garage gym.

    My stats
    Age: 49
    Height: 6'2"
Weight: 198 (all weights are in lbs, damn the metric system)

    My PRs
    Squat: 210 5x5 (245 for 3)
    Deadlift: 255 1x5 (315 for 1)
    Press: 115 5x5 (135 for 1)
    Bench: 160 5x5 (195 for 1)

Still pretty light, but getting there. I don't do power cleans due to shoulder issues but I'm starting to work in snatches.

I also do conditioning twice a week usually comprised of sprints, some type of interval training, or complexes. Would love to get a prowler but I think my HOA would frown on my tearing up the streets (they frown on most everything else).

    Today was Heavy Day

    Squat: 5x45, 5x95, 3x135, 3x185, 3x245
    Bench: 10x45, 5x95, 3x135, 1x185, 1x195
Pull ups: 3x10 dead hang with blue band (I can get 8 PUs with no band, but get tendinitis, so I'm working through the bands with higher reps)

    Welcome!

From your "heavy" PRs, it looks to me like both your squat and dead have a bit of room to come up on your 5x5 and 1x5 sets.

Thanks! I agree that my worksets are a little light. I developed pretty bad elbow tendinitis during my LP, so I backed off the weight when I started TM. I'm in no hurry and hopefully 5lb per week increases will allow my connective tissue to keep up with my muscle gains.

Yesterday I played around with Power Snatches

15x3x75 - way too light, but wanted to work on my form since this is the first time I've done them

Do you remember anything after the ride to the stadium? I've got to get me to a southern football game some day. We have a riot up here in the Midwest but y'all take your football sorta serious like.

Yes we do. I took my 12 yo daughter and her friend to the game. They had a blast, but limited my partying ability.
