Hey All! I've lifted on and off for the past three or so years, mostly doing bodybuilding splits. I've decided to do SS and would like to gain as much strength and mass as I can through this fall/winter.

I've actually been doing SS for the past 3 weeks, where I did an initial deload from my tested maxes. I am 5'7 and 160lbs, fairly lean with very small joints. My current goal is to get up to 180lbs. Thought it'd be better late than never, to start logging my progress

My lifts are currently at (5 reps):

    Squat: 190
    Bench: 145
    Dead: 245
    OHP: 90
    Row: 110

Will be supplementing rows and chins for cleans.

I am drinking a gallon of whole milk (almost everyday) and eating as much lean meat as I can stomach. MOST days, I am getting around 4000 calories.

Will post again, after tomorrow's workout!
    John

    Awesome workout, earlier:

    Squat (3 x 5): 195lbs
    OHP (3 x 5): 95lbs
    Row (3 x 5): 115lbs
Chins ( 2 x 8): +25 lb added for first set, and 20lbs for the second set
    *warmup sets not shown*

Felt strong and explosive, especially on the overhead press. Last week 90 lbs felt heavy, but today 95 lbs shot up easily.

Took my creatine and a Spartan-sized glass of chocolate milk. Got home, had some pork chop, stuffing, peas and milk.

    Feeling great!

Was an okay workout. Bench felt real heavy but I completed all reps at the planed weights. I think my bench form could probably be perfected a bit more.

    Squat (3 x 5) 200lbs
    Bench (3 x 5) 150lbs
    Dead (1 x 5) 255lbs

Alright, so squats and rows went up just fine, but I wasn't able to achieve all reps on the last two sets of overhead presses! What the hell! On monday 95 lbs went up fairly easy... today, my reps were: 5, 4, 3 so I missed one rep on the second set and 2 reps on the third set.

I'm a month in.... I SHOULD NOT BE FAILING on press this soon, should I? Unless perhaps I started a bit too heavy? ANY SUGGESTIONS? Next week (Wednesday), should I attempt to increase it, or keep it the same? I thought I was eating enough... most days I'm gagging trying to cram down food throughout the day, as well as doing GOMAD. I should probably start doing a nutrition log to see what my calories really are averaging, over the week. My belly and pecs are sure getting some fat added to them.

With that said, squats felt easier today than they did last workout.

    Today's workout:

    Squat (3 x 5): 205lbs
    OHP: 100x5, 100x4, 100x3
    Row: (3 x 5): 125lbs (increased it by 10 lbs because I started /so/ light that it's almost effortless)
    Chins: (3 x 8)

EDIT: I'm an idiot and apparently can't do simple math. I did 110 lb, hence my difficulty. Next week I will do 105lbs
