I was passing through Wichita Falls after my pre-wedding bachelor weekend in Dallas and stopped by WFAC for a workout. While there Juli noticed that I wasn't very tight in and out of the hole. She had me work on shoving my knees out harder at the beginning of the movement and think about a 2 second eccentric and a more forceful concentric. In her words I was "plopping down" to the bottom of my squats. She had me envision that someone was going to punch me in the gut at the bottom of my squats.

On my earlier videos I noticed that my hips were shooting back out of the bottom of the squat and as Juli noted, not very tight. I've put in some squats throughout the week at lighter percentages (55, 65, and 75%) to focus on technique.

I just wanted show a before and after videos of squats that are relatively close in weight and get some feedback if they looked any better and a question on depth. I've noticed that in my videos I took this week on lighter sets that I was cutting my squats off too high. I'm in the neighborhood of parallel, but not at the right address. I was wondering if I just needed to work on just lowering myself down more or if when on Monday I will be squatting back into the 85 to 90% range the heavier weight will probably take care of this for the most part. I would like to do a meet at some point and don't want to get into a habit of squatting high.
