So this is my first attempt for a SS log. A brief history of me. I’m a 28 year old guy, I have always been very skinny in my upperbody but with strong legs because I always enjoyed playing soccer (and was very good at it).
I used to play soccer 3 - 4 times a week and maybe once a week trying to do push ups (3 sets of 5 reps)
Well, I was doing ok until someday (5 years ago) I had a terrible knee injury and stop playing soccer, and therefore stop doing any sport at all. Obviously, I start gaining fat and losing muscles to the point I reach 80 kg with a skinny fat looking.
Three weeks ago I decided to start doing exercises again and somehow get a decent look.

This are my starting stats:
Age: 28
Height: 1.74cm
Weight: 79Kg


I started with StrongLifts:
November 19th 2011:

Squat: 20Kg (44 lb)
Benchpress: 20Kg (44 lb)
Barbellrows: 20Kg (44 lb)
Push-ups:3x5 reps
Reverse crunch: 3x12 (crying in pain)

Overheadpress: 20Kg (44 lb)
Deadlift: 40Kg (88lb)
Chin-ups: 3x2
Prone Bridges: 3x30 secs (absolute pain)

Current stats:
December 12th 2011:

Weight: 75Kg

Squat: 45Kg (100 lb)
Benchpress: 37.5Kg (82 lb)
Barbellrows: 37.5Kg (82 lb)
Push-ups:3x11 reps
Reverse crunch: 3x12

Overheadpress: 37.5Kg (82 lb)
Deadlift: 60Kg (132lb)
Chin-ups: 3x1 (I’m too tired with the OH press)
Prone Bridges: 3x30 secs

I run about 6Km every weekend. Is it ok? Should I just focus on weight lifting? I’m worried of my knee, is it possible to get a serious injury doing squats?
Should I buy some kind of supplements such as whey, carnitine, etc?
