You must know TBone pretty well. I saw your logs and thought she was double posting.

Congrats on the PR. I'm looking to compete in a powerlifting meet by the end of this year.

    Good luck.

    Sunday 5/02/12

It's been a very long week, so this is the first chance I've had to get back in the gym. Felt good.

    Deadlift:
    5x132
    2x154
    5x170.5
    3x181.5
    1x198
1x214.5 - PR! Next time it'll be the longed for 2 plates

    Bench:
    15x44
    5x66
    2x88
    5x99
    5x104.5
    4x110
1x123.2 - easy compared to last time.

Half mile run to finish. I really need to get my fitness level up.

    starting strength coach development program
    Thanks for the support guys!

    Monday 6/2/12

    Squat:
    10x44
    5x88
    5x110
    3x5x132
Deload to work on form, my knees have been coming in way too much.

    OHP:
    8x44
    5x55
    5x71.5
    5x77
    2x82.5
My overheads were shit, I'm blaming it yesterday's bench.

    PowerCleans:
    2x3x66
Approx 12 singles at 88 - no bumpers at my gym so I placed the loaded bar on a bunch of other plates to approximate the correct height. First time pulling from the ground.
    Approx 8 singles at 99 - PR.
A few singles at 110, didn't manage to rack as the bar only came to breast height, should've really gone for 104.5.

This was my first time doing PowerCleans for a while, I've almost finished that chapter in The Book and it's helped a lot but I just don't feel explosive. 99lbs felt pretty light, and racked ok, but it took a long leisurly walk up to my shoulders rather than a sprint. I just can't seem to jump hard with a barbell in my hands.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to get that 220 deadlift, if I pull it off I'll post a vid. If I don't I'll hang my head in shame, wallow in self pity, and then pull it Saturday.
