    2 months progress as of 27/5/12 (upper figures are 5RMs):

    Squat - 45kg to 85kg
    Press - 27.5kg to 42.5kg
    Bench - 37.5kg to 57.5kg
    Deadlift - 60kg to 100kg

    Bodyweight - 69.3kg to 77.7kg


    Beginner doing SS after an abortive attempt last summer (did it for 2-3 months before I had to move and it became less practical for me to get to an affordable gym 3 times a week). I'm only on the second week so it's not very taxing yet but I thought I might as well put my log up here.

    Age: 24
    Height: 6'1"
    Starting Bodyweight: 69.3kg / 153lb

    Today (fifth session) I did:

    squat - 55kg - 3x5
    bench - 42.5kg - 3x5
    deadlift - 70kg - 1x5
    chins - 5,5,3



    Previous sessions:

    27/3
    squat - 45, 3x5
    bench - 37.5, 3x5
    chins - 4,3,4

    29/3
    squat - 47.5, 3x5
    press - 27.5, 3x5
    deadlift - 60, 1x5

    31/3
    bench - 40, 3x5
    squat - 50, 3x5
    chins - 6,5,3

    3/4
    squat - 52.5, 3x5
    press - 30, 3x5
    deadlift - 65
    chins - 5,5,3


    So everything's going okay just now ... I'd guess my press will be the first to fail, hopefully not for a couple weeks though.

    Deadlifts getting a little bit harder now, might switch to 2.5kg jumps from now on.

    No squats or deadlifts (lower back pain). Not sure which exercise is causing the pain, left out both today - should be able to squat again on Thursday (with focus on form).

    Trying hard to keep good form in the squat. Back feels fine just now.

    Congrats on the bodyweight squats (I presume). Always nice to tick off that milestone.
