I've poked around exercise for some years now. Along with everybody else I tried out some body builder style routines in my younger days. Never got very big but I had a couple decent lifts. Unfortunately I wasn't squatting - but I made up for it with lat raises?!!?? Was in the Army for a bit - I agree very much with the sentiment of Major Long's article on this sight. For a minute I even thought that running was where it was at. Got onto kettlebells and crossfit style programming. I guess I've been around trying different things out from time to time with a couple years of vegging out in between each of those fads. I think I'll fill in more of my background later and get started with my Starting Strength Log
