If for some reason a person was unable to get to the gym, doesn't have access to a barbell or dumbbells, and only had enough time to do a few push ups and pull ups, what kind of program would be beneficial for strength or strength endurance?

You could look into what Hershel Walker did. He supposedly did primarily bodyweight excercises. Mind you, the guy had genetics on his side.

Yeah, I've always gotten upset when people give me the "Well, Herschel Walker and Bo Jackson only did bodyweight stuff and look at them!!!"

People have no idea the power of genetics on that level of an athlete. Those two guys are in the top .0000000001 percent of humans who have ever lived.

In Bo Jackson's case, I'd make the argument that he might be the most athletically gifted human being in the history of our species.
