    • starting strength seminar jume 2024
    • starting strength seminar august 2024
    • starting strength seminar october 2024
    Been doing Starting Strength since December, just moved to advanced novice.

    Current Stats:
    6'6" 223 LBS
    3X5 maxes, in LBS:
    Squat 275
    Bench 190
    OHP 137.5 (have started microloading)
    Deadlift 330
    Powerclean 185 (no longer progressing this as form gets shaky)

    Haven't stalled on anything, yet. Moved to advanced novice because I really needed the extra recovery, and I didn't want to stall. Want to progress as far as possible without a stall for mental reasons. Hence, why I started microloading OHP.

    Monday 2/18/2013

    Drank a little too much this weekend because I knew I had Monday off from work. Didn't feel tired today, but didn't get good sleep this weekend.

    Squat:
    Worked up to 280 x 3X5
    First set was sloppy. Slowed down and focused on controlled descent. 2nd and 3rd sets felt better.
    Need to focus more on thoracic mobility. Going to reset my deadlift and focus on perfecting my form. Need more trunk stability and thoracic mobility moving forward so I don't start to do squat mornings as the weight gets heavier.

    Bench:
    Worked up to 195 x 5,4,4
    I have been J pressing. Think I need to reset the bench and focus on a more controlled technique. I am going to do this when I have a true stall.

    Also, still dealing with wicked elbow tendonitis. Have fixed my squat hand position, and have temporarily dropped power cleans (in case of early arm bend) hoping it will heal up.

    Deload Squat:
    Worked up to 225 X 5,5

    OHP:
    Worked up to 140 X 5,5,4
    Funny how I missed reps on Bench and OHP on consecutive days. Guess I started at the right weights.

    Box Jumps and Broad Jumps

    Chins for elbow tendonitis: BW X 10,10,8,5,5,5,5,2
