This will work for a few weeks. And of course you need to be deadlifting. But yeah, you need a squat rack to qualify as a good home gym.
Hi all,
I am newbie on here, looking forward to chatting SS with you all. Really enjoying the program, after a few weeks of doing it.
Just after some advice. I train at home, can only get to a gym on weekends due to family stuff. My home gym is pretty good, but I don't have a squat rack. As the weights get heavier this is compromising my workouts as I'm unable to do proper back squats for safety purposes. Instead I do front squats as I can power clean the weight up to my shoulders to get in position for a front squat.
Does anybody see a big problem with this? If so, any suggestion such as additional exercises I could possibly add to make up for it?
Cheers
P.S. I'll have a squat rack in a few weeks, so its only a temporary fix I am after to get me through.

Thanks for the reply Andy.
squat stands are a cheaper solution but not nearly as good as a rack/cage.
