    I'm going to start logging my training here. I went to the SS seminar in MD last weekend and have decided I should be more accountable for my training. Below is what I'm currently running as far as my program.

    Squat 5x3
    Power clean 3x5

    Day 2
    Bench 5x5
    Press 5x3
    Weighted Chins 5x3 (supinated grip)

    Day 3
    Off

    Day 4
    Squat 5x3
    Deadlift 5x1

    Day 5
    Bench 5x1
    Press 5x3
    Weighted Pull ups 5x3 (prorated grip)

    Day 6
    Off

    Day 7
    Off

    Note that it is reps x sets.

    I've de-loaded my squat to work on form after the seminar. I'm going to start pulling my deads conventional, I had been using a modified sumo stance. I might make a change to the intensity bench in the next week depending how things go. I'm focusing on my bench, using relatively light pressing to just keep the movement fresh. I'd also like to push the prowler once a week; however, the gym that has it is a little out of the way.

    Was interested in seeing what I could power clean today, so I strayed a little. I was happy with the 235x1; it represents a 10lb PR.

    I was super stressed with some work stuff and just couldn't get in the zone.

    Chins 50x5x3 I was supposed to do pull-ups at a lighter weight, but I blanked on that and did chins.

    The blocks do not refer to city blocks, just markings on the plaza outside of the gym.

    Bench was heavy but I think I should be able to move the triples up for a few weeks. First set of press was tough but once I got in the groove they moved good except for the last rep on each of the final two sets.

    Everything felt good. I need to jump with these cleans, and keep my eyes fixed.

    Everything moved nice, even paused the last rep of the final bench set; just because I could. Press was all right, I rested more between sets (5-6 minutes) to make sure I made my reps. I'll repeat the chins next bench volume day.

    I like this bench/press scheme I've got going. I'm surprised that I'm pressing what I am after the bench work. Either my press strength is not greatly affected by my bench work, or all this volume is driving the press up. I hope it's the second scenario. I looked though my log and my best 5x3 for press was 182.5 near the end of September 2012 (fresh, first movement of workout).

    Bench is is feeling good, every ID is a new PR; love it. The triples also moved faster than they did last week. Made the call and only hit one set of 5 on the press. Going to do a little experiment with it now that running the LP behind my TM bench is teetering out. Did some bw chins to see what I could do, hit 19 at 235lbs, score one for that fat man.
