    Hi Andy,
I was hoping you would give me some idea of how to program/progress tire flips.

I have 450 pound tire and another one that I'm guessing weighs around 200 pounds. To me it seems like just adding a flip or two each time is the way to go?

He is a sample of what I did last time (450# tire)
    Five sets of
    6 flips
    100 jump ropes
I allowed myself full recovery between sets.

Here's my stats if its relevant
    5'11" @200#
    Press 137.5 3x5
    Squat 250 3x5
    Dead 350x5

Yep, doing them as part of a circuit like that is a good idea. Or you can do something like:

    1) 10 mins of flips - record number of flips and try and beat next time.
    2) 20-50 flips - record time it takes you to get specified number of flips.

Work standards will depend on the weight of the tire and whether or not you are using it for strength or conditioning.

Both of those sound terrifying (in a good way). We will have to give those a shot.

I was hoping the weight was high enough to help my deadlift along, am I incorrect in thinking that? Maybe I need to program it differently?
That being said my deadlift just stalled and I'm starting a reset so I really don't know if its doing any good. Time has led to inconsistency in my programming as of late and I've especially let conditioning slide the past few weeks.

The foreseeable future looks good for some serious training though and my plan was to rotate my conditioning (I'm only conditioning once per week) like this: one week I'll push my truck for 30 seconds on 2:30 off with sets increasing each time. The next week do something with the tire.

    Any thoughts/tips/criticism?

I don't think the tire is going to help your DL much. If you only condition 1x/week I'd do basically the same thing each time so that you have something to measure against each week to gauge progress.

Alright. I'll try the 10 minute one for a few weeks and see how it goes.

Thanks for your time and keep crushing those weights, Andy.

Keep in mind I just threw 10 mins out there as an example. You may wanna start with less depending on weight of tire and your level of conditioning. Don't let this tire thing negatively impact your barbell training.

Okay. I'll keep that in mind. I always use the heavier one and that circuit I referenced took me about 10 to 15 minutes. I didn't time it so I could be wrong.

So far my lifts are all goj

Will you edit that for me? Didn't mean to hit send. Ha

What I was trying to say is

My lifts are still going up except for my deadlift so I should be able to tell if its hitting me too hard.
