I've finished SS and sort of ran TM. To get STRONG will require more focus then I'm willing to give it and my goals are changing. I'm 53 and 224. Back in the day, I was a lean, hard 165-170 and managed to keep that until I was in my forties. As a woman once told me, "you're one of the few men I've seen that actually looks good in speedos" Not that I'm planning on going to the beach in speedos :-), but I'd like to see sub 200 and I'd like to see a bit more muscle. Much that I knew was wrong, now I have to see what I can do with new knowledge. I'm going to try to kept getting stronger in the squat and deadlift, while working to build the upper body in both mass and strength. It''ll be a balancing act, I can't take the workouts I used to do and I'm a lot lower in the testosterone.
Current lifts:
Squat: 5x5 275, 1x5 315, 1x1 335
Deadlift: 1x5 355, 1x1 375
Press: 3x5 100, 1x5 110
BP: 3x5 135. With my shoulder, I'll never try for less then fives. Also, I'm using the sissy pad to stop my depth by one inch. Stopping before that last bit, allows me to Bench without pain.
Friday's workout, felt good.
Squat 3x5 290

BP 3x5 135 with Rows 100
Press 3x5 100 with Pulldowns 160
One set of DB curls as I waited for my Fere. 6 with 35

Press 101.3 with Pulldowns 160, 160, 170

Press 102.6 with pulldowns 160, 170, 170.

Friday
Cardio for ten
Squat Singles after a solid warmup, 315, 330, 340. I know this next has a name, but I don't know it. Anyway, I tried putting on 365 and standing with it for a few moments. Did that for three. Didn't come away from the hooks, just set myself, got real tight and stood up. It felt good, I think I'll do these every couple of weeks.
Press Planned 1x5 112.6 Only made three.
BP ramping to 145 5 reps each
Time was up, no pulling.

Pulldowns 3x5 160

Wednesday
Deadlift 135x5, 225x5, 275x3, 315x1 and then singles to 380. New PR.
Started to do a few other things, but instead was happy with what I had done.

Squat 3x5 305
Press 3x5 105
BP Ramped to 150
A young lad is having a go at Starting Strength, working with him took up the rest of my gym time.
