    Hello!

I'm Loraine and I picked up a barbell just 18 months ago. My wonderful fiance (who has a log HERE) has shown me the way. I used to run half marathons and jump around my apartment doing silly body-weight circuits. I was frustrated that I could only do a few pull ups. Fast forward to now--I've got 18 strict pull ups! I have now competed in Crossfit, Powerlifting and Weightlifting. My most recent competition was last weekend at the RVA Weightlifting Open. After dabbling in these three fields, I've decided that what I really want is to be strong--in every sense of the word. From a training standpoint, PL is the obvious choice. Upon making this decision, my fiance encouraged me to start a log here in the land of strength gainz.

I lift at 5'4" and ~137 lbs BW, which puts me in the 148 weight class for powerlifting. My first PL meet was this past March where I hit 275/185/355 for an 815 total.

    My current numbers:
Back squat: 275x1, 260x5 (more recent)
    Bench press: 185x1
    Deadlift: 355x1
    Strict Press: 120x1
    Front squat: 225x3
    Clean & Jerk: 195
    Snatch: 125
    Strict pull-ups: 18

My eyes are now set on a PL meet in October, and I'll be following RPE-based block periodization until then.

    I support "FeigenGainzZz"!!

    Comp. Deadlft: 275, 305 x 5.
    Touch&Go Bench: 135, 145, 150 x 5.
    Pin Squats: 175, 195, 215 x 5.

Was hoping 305 deadlifts would be an 8, turned out to be a 9. I've brought my grip in on the bench. Feeling much stronger and more stable! LOVING pin squats...awesome challenge Speaking of challenge, next week will involve fatigue sets again. I promise to do them in addition to my prescribed GPP. I'm trying to avoid getting the angry eyebrows from a certain someone...
