Default No Mo' Lazy Fragged Log

Well, I missed training all last week so I thought I better start a log here before I turn back into a lazy ass. This is my second time with the program, first petered off when it got “hard” (185… not hard) due to crap form, and a serious lack of resolve. That won’t happen this time.

Notable issues for issues sake are some minor bursitis on 8/3 then 8/5 that I saw the PCP for. Told me to deload 50% on any presses but increase volume and full ROM, which I thought was worth following based on the typical recommendations those guys seem to give, so I did – no issues since then and shoulders feel great. Saw the doc on 8/11, started back up then. On 8/11 we experienced Ark worthy rain, which caused me to quit at my 3rd squat workset after the flood in the garage got past the boots I put on when it started – for anyone wondering, training in 4 inches of water is stupid and dangerous, boots or no boots.

Last week I skipped all week, I have really dumb excuses, hence the log. Here they go:
    - Monday I felt “really tired”; aka I was lazy
    - Wednesday I was out of town for work, this one is decent, but I could have tried MUCH harder to find a gym there…
    - Friday I got up early, as I knew I would not have time later. Then I farted around long enough to “not have enough time for that”; aka I was lazy.

So that’s out of the way, Meat and potato time.

    Stats @ start (7/20/14):
    Male
    BW: 240
    BF: ~35%
    Sq: 95
    Pr: 65
    BP: 75
    DL: 155
    PC (introduced 8/15):65

    Current stats (9/15):
    More male
    BW: 235
BF: ??? I just measure hips, waist, chest with a tape now to make sure it moves the right way…
    Sq: 205
    Pr: 80
    BP: 110
    DL: 255
    PC: 105

Welcome back. As you understood training in water around electricity is not a good idea. This looks like good progress. Keep it up.

Thanks! Electricity was one issue, the buoyancy of water-proof boots and lack of grip to the floor was the other. Even with my weight and the work weight, it just felt bad...and dumb.

Sorry, grilled meat was calling my name...

Got the Athlete, 4" 2 prong in black.

Very good quality, but I think I'd go single prong if I did it again. It's so thick there is zero need for two.

I can't wait to see the string of PR's you're gonna put up as you get used to squatting in it!

    9/19

    Squat: 215
    Press: 85
    PC: 115

Figured out today that my cheap bar that came with my weights is bent, but I was waiting for that. Apparently it isn't rated for cleans.

Looks like I'm buying a bar as a b'day present.

Edit so I don't leave anyone hanging: Ordered up a Cap OB-86B. Also got a set of shoes, Romaleos 2 black and red.

    9/22

    31 years old today.

    Squat: 220
    Bench: 120
    Deadlift: 275

The 275 deadlift felt freaking great, went shoeless and added the belt today. Lately on the squats I get some heavy fatigue(drowsy mentally, not physical) after the first work set. Pretty much gone after the second... weird.
