Default Slow Progress, change to intermediate?

    Age:20
    Height: 5ft 10

Started SS back In September 2013. Since around March, I've microloaded some lifts.

    March 2014:
    Weight:182lb

Squat:230lbx5 (Poor form - above parrallel)
Deadlift:265lbx5 (Poor form - Up to 20 seconds rest between reps)
    Bench: 132lbx5
    Press: 78lbx5
    Chins: 2,2,1

    7 Months later October 2014:
    Weight: 192lb

Squat: 263lbx5 (Good form- Plagued by injuries)
Deadlift: 275lbx5 (Good form - Now around 3 seconds rest between reps)
    Bench: 175lbx5
    Press: 103lbx5
    Chins:8,8,8

As you can see, I've fucked around quite abit during these 7 months, due to shitty form and injuries. I've microloaded everything but deadlift (5lb increases).

Progress is slow, each lift feels heavy and I often miss reps in the last set. I understand you should deload when you miss reps in 3 attempts, but usually within the 3rd or 2nd attempt I'd complete all reps. But a 1lb or 2lb increase isn't much at all. Shall I continue at this pace, or transition into intermediate training? I just want to become a serious lifter.

I find weight gain difficult at the moment, I'm also struggling with sleep.

    Thanks for any help.

Sometimes it's just a little easier to go to an intermediate template rather than eek out every last drop of novice programming. You have my permission. Then fix your diet and your sleeping patterns.
