Finally decided to keep a training log on the site. I've been lifting on and off for the past 5 years but, training for powerlifting for the past three years. I workout in my garage. That way I can slam bars, yell, scream and rock out to my own music. My first legitimate program was madcow. This was before I ever heard of Rippetoe. I made some really good gains from the weekly increases in weight. I now do wendlers 531 for powerlifting. I've been on this program for about 8 months. My current bests are Squat 435 without wraps, Bench 315 touch and go, and deadlift 500. I weigh 210-215. I was about 165 when I started training. I'm training for my first meet on January 24th. I'm hoping for a 1335 total (might be wishful thinking) but I like to aim high.

Other than lifting, I sell Budweiser for a living. I Play guitar and drums. I also keep a saltwater reef aquarium.

My current best on press is 200lb. I'm getting close to the coveted bw press.

Worked up to a 255x1 power clean. It felt pretty good.

    Squat 5x175, 5x225, 3x260, 5x315, 3x370, 1x415.

I didn't do any assistance work today. I felt extremely weak. Got some stress going on in life. Maybe it has something to do with it. I'm going to eat big, take some ibuprofen and try to get 10 hours of sleep. Hopefully press and dl day go well.
