Got into SS around June because I couldn't deny the gainzzz I saw one of my coworkers make with the program. Had a baby in April so naturally figured it would be a good idea to start working out three times a week. Progressed well on the program, even with some groin injury issues (a weird pull from hitting golf balls off a mat in February) and wanting to gouge my eyes out trying to work out at the community gym with one squat rack and too many high school bruhs doing who knows what in them.

Had touched a barbell maybe 3 or 4 times previously in my life. Got my lifts up to:

Squat (started with body weight my first session with my coworker)
    250x5x3
    Press
    135x5x3
    Bench
    180x5x3
    DL
315x5x1 (probably really 5 singles in a row)
    PC
    not worth mentioning.

Then I was an idiot in November, tweaked my groin again, got annoyed with all the high schoolers who were bored after football season ended and I stopped lifting for a couple months.

Now I'm back in the game and hopefully that will never happen again. Bought a home gym setup so I wouldn't have to deal with the headaches at the gym. Returned from the hiatus on Jan. 1st.

Short on time? Is that even a thing with a home gym? Man, when I get my setup I'll do my 5x5s over the whole day in between...whatever it is I do all day

It is when your wife has to go to work the next morning and she is getting reminder texts from the in-laws to make sure she parks in the garage because it is going to be below zero over night and you have not cleaned up your garage enough to where you can put the stands away enough to pull in a car and that takes up the first hour and a half of your lifting time...

A little break in the coldness, but can still see my breath...

HIIT for 20 minutes (aka shoveling the driveway)

    Squat
    185x5x3

Ever since I started back up on the 1st I've been having some strange bilateral patella pain. After snooping around I'm assuming I wasn't setting my knees in the first half of the squat and was sliding them way forward at the end and basically leg pressing (or that could all be garbage). Really focused on getting my knees into position then sitting back with the hips, it felt pretty good, hopefully I can get a video of it up.

    Press
    115x5x3

    PC
    95x3x5
These were fun to do with bumper plates and actually having the correct heights off the floor and not trying to jerry rig something at the gym.

I heard if you bathe in BCAAs they go directly into your muscles. Immediate absorption brah.
