Started SS almost 2 years ago, with various lags in my progression, the worst being a tear of some sort that was, as far as I know, at my Rhomboid major or Rhomboid minor muscle. Hoping to get as strong as possible.

    Age - 22

    Height - 5"9'
    Weight - 205

    Monday, 12 January

    Squat 250 x 5 x 3 (get used to using a belt - a bob's belt - shout-out to Sean Herbison for the recommendation)
    Bench 155 x 5 x 3
Power Clean 145 x 3 x 5 (need to remember to keep my weight on my toes - i didn't figure out why it was going so crappy until the last set)
    BB Curls: 55 x 8 x 2, 55 x 11 x 1

    {weight x rep x sets}

    * PRs (for sets of 5, while doing SS - have not tried any 1RM) :
    Squat - 260
    Bench - 160
    Press - 105
    Deadlift - 295
    Power Clean (x3) - 145

I should also mention I will have to juggle my strength goals with my Air Force PT test coming in May. Hoping to just get a 90+ so I can go another year without taking it. We also currently are granted full control of our PT. We just get a mock PT test once a quarter. Something sensible!

    Wednesday, 14 January
Squat 255 x 5 x 3 (The belt makes a night and day difference. It was solid!)
    Press 102.5 x 5 x 3 (definitely needed the fractional plates)
    Deadlift 255 x 5
    BB Curls 60 x 8 x 3

My right elbow started to give me trouble again. I was thinking I might fail on the press because of that. Will start to do chins again.

Best wishes on your PT test. Anyone who can do a Power clean or Snatch I tip my hat toward. I cannot do either. Good work young man.

I've been doing lots of chins over the last couple months, and my elbow's stopped bugging me. It's always possible that it's just a coincidence, but they seem to help.

    * Squat 240 x 5 x 3 (no elbow pain today! chinups + fish oil and ibuprofen ftw)
    * Press 105 x 5 x 3 (my arms goooo wayyyyy too far back - Sean Herbison I will have to enact that advice you gave me about that... seems I wasn't actually doing it. I am flexible enough to where it doesn't feel awkward and that's the issue. Will video tape every single warm-up and work set from now on.)
    * Deadlift 255 x 5
    * Chinups BW x 2 x 16 (I'd have done 20-25 sets but I really had to go or else I would barely have time to eat and sleep)

Glad to be back in the gym. Consuming my 2nd half of my gallon of milk (Lactaid ftw!)

    ---
Also is it odd that my workout playlist today had both of these songs one after the other?

(I usually listen to tough-guy hardcore, percussive sorts of Death Metal [The album "Hate" by Sinister is an excellent example], and Bach. huh.)

    ---

thanks for all the the positive words.

    Also - I used a fancy scale that said I weighted 210 lbs @ 25% bf.

    Sunday, 1 February
    Squat 225 x 5 x 3
    Overhead Press 95 x 5 x 3
    Deadlift 225 x 5 x 1

    Back again. again.

Here's a stream of my first set of the OHP. I noticed last time when I filmed it that the weight went way too far back. A little better this time.
