Accountability and stuff. I'm starting up JiuJitsu in Wichita Falls in the next few weeks, so I'll be posting my training from that as well.

    Lower body VD:

    Squat - 345x5x5

    Deadlift - 430x5

    Prowler - 271x4

Squats have been feeling off lately, but I figured out that I needed to tighten my belt more. The last two sets went great and felt nice and tight. I'm down to the second to last hole after having 3 sets of holes punched before we left Reno a month ago.

Here's my last set of squats:

    Default 3/30/2015 - Press

First day of a new program. I'm going to run the Karl Schudt 5/3/1 to reduce volume and keep things moving. The biggest thing I've learned from videoing my lifting is that things are rarely as hard as they feel during a set. If I was watching this video of someone else, I would tell them they could have done at least one more rep.

    Press - 130x5, 150x5, 170x8
    CB Bench - 165x10x5
    Lat Pull - 190x5x5

    4/01/2015 - Deadlift

Pulled my first "heavy" set of deadlifts without a belt in a long time. That arm pull at the top on the last three reps is a new thing. Gotta watch out for it next time.

Things are fairly light right now, but the 10's on squat were no joke. I did 3 sets today and will do all five next week.

    Deadlift - 295x5, 340x5, 385x7
    Squat - 240x10x3

    Default 4/3/2015 - Bench

Bench day. I used the buffer on my shoulder, upper bicep, and upper back before the workout. I've been having pretty serious pain in my upper bicep/tendon for a while that has actually gotten a little better since adding bench back in to my program.

After buffering myself, the first few sets of bench hurt BAD, but then it dissipated. I videoed the last set of bench. Once again, I think I could have done at least 2 more reps. I need to start pushing these "+" sets really hard.

    Bench - 180x5, 205x5, 230x8
    Press - 120x10x5
    Lat pull - 195x5x5

    Default 4/6/2015 - Squat

I trained with Rip last night, which is always cool. If you listen carefully, you can hear him singing along in the video. He tried to tell me I had a very slight arm pull on my cleans, but I argued that it was my gunzzz creating an optical illusion. He agreed under protest. I'll get a video of them next week.

    Squat - 260x5, 300x5, 340x8
    Power Clean - 155x3x5
