Pretty good starting numbers. Welcome back to the barbell. What was your previous training style and PRs?

Thanks. I started off with...dare I say it...the "other" program using 5x5. I haven't lifted since having shoulder surgery for a posterior tear in the labrum in Fall 2011.

    @ 200-205 lbs BW:

    Squat
    295 lbs
    Press 125 lbs
    Bench 195 lbs
    Deadlift 345 lbs

I've never done power cleans and I'm looking forward to learning.

Welcome back. Here to stay this time? How come you didn't increase your bench?

Thanks! Yeah, I really hope so. Had too much going on at home and just couldn't commit so I just gave up for a while. Finally feeling ready.

    (fixed the bench number)

    Workout B - 1/6/2017

    Squat: 200x3x5
    Press: 105x3x5
    Clean: 100x5x3

Only second or third time doing power cleans in my life. Had some difficulty with dizziness in the rack position, and finger scraping when getting out of the rack. Did a quick search and found that breathing was key, specifically, not taking a HUGE breath, but enough to be tight. Also, tried the hook grip for the first time, and it actually made the rack feel more natural. Definitely have some flexibility concerns in shoulders and wrists, so racking the bar can be difficult.

    Session #5
    Workout A - 1/8/2017
    4:30pm-5:35pm

    Squat: 205x3x5
    Bench: 145x3x5
    Deadlift: 235x3x5

Deadlifts were unexpectedly challenging. Probably had a little to do with the hour of snow blowing/shoveling I did an hour earlier, and pushing a stroller in 6+ inches of snow the day before. Overall was feeling exhausted.
