    50 year old male. 5'10" 200lbs

    History:

    May 2014: Started lifting again after 30 years. Weight at 182lbs.
    July 2014: Flipped through SSBBT but didn't catch the whole LP concept.
    June 2015: After several injuries I re-read SSBBT and improved my form, but still clueless on LP.
    Jan 2016: A 3rd reading of SSBBT reveals LP!
    April 2016: Our new lab puppy knocked me over at the bottom of last set of squats. Hurt back badly.
    April 2016 PRs
    SQ 245x5, Bench 189x5, Press 105x3, Dead 240x5

    June 2016: SS Seminar in Wichita. Very enlightening.

    Very slow recovery from April back injury. Tried backing off and Starr Rehab Protocol with mediocre results. Finally just cut weight by 50% and only progressed if there was no pain.

    Oct 2016: Only 2 workouts all month due to MOHS surgery followed by deer hunt. The time off was good for my back as it hasn't bothered me since.
